The youngest of three brothers, Rob Mills grew up in suburban Melbourne enjoying football and fooling around with mates.
During his primary school years Rob became fascinated with Pop music and it was this that drew him to singing and performing himself. Towards the end of High School Rob was faced with the decision to have to choose between his two loves, singing and football. At the advice of his Dad and other friends and family, Rob or 'Millsy' has he is fondly known by all his mates decided to pursue a singing career.
Joining forces with two mates Millsy then seventeen began playing the Melbourne live circuit fronting acoustic three piece, Megamen. It was performing in this role as the charismatic front man and general larrikin that Millsy built a keen following in and around Melbourne. Millsy and Meganmen's Sunday Session at the Red Eagle Hotel in Albert Park is now a Melbourne institution attracting over a thousand punters to the popular drinking hole every weekend.

After an unsuccessful audition for the Popstars Series II show Millsy decided to try one more time by placing himself under the microscope of Australian Idol judges, Marcia Hines, Ian 'Dicko' Dickson, and Mark Holden. This time, at age twenty-one Rob was successful and was invited by Australian Idol to join the short list of hopefuls in Sydney to attempt to win a place in the shows' final 10.

Scoring a place in the Australian Idol Top 10 out of 10,000 auditionee's Rob reveled in the 'opportunity of a lifetime' and turned his irresistible charm on, showing viewers around the country why Millsy was already a cult Idol in his hometown.

Since Australian Idols' conclusion Millsy has been no stranger to the press and his new fans appearing regularly in gossip columns and on Celeb' sightings pages. Due to a brief but heavily publicized fling with Billionaire Heiress Paris Hilton, Millsy has received extra notoriety and quite by accident been tagged Australia's latest 'Lad.'

Not content remaining simply a 'lady's man' Millsy is currently in discussions with a number of networks interested in obtaining the cheeky Melbourne boys ongoing serviced. Millsy has also commenced writing for his debut single and album which he hopes to release early 2004. Keen to give a bit back Millsy has also become involved with the two major charities, the Starlight Children's Foundation, and Canteen, Kids With Cancer.
